Contact and Email Privacy Notice
Who is responsible
J K Cuisine LLC operates the restaurant known publicly as J&K Cuisine. Steve Williams is the owner. Allister handles administration and customer enquiries on Steve's behalf, involving Steve when needed.
For privacy questions, access or correction requests, deletion requests or concerns about an enquiry, contact jkcuisine825@gmail.com. Requests will be considered alongside any need to retain unresolved matters or required records.
Scope
This notice explains restaurant contact enquiries and the website email connection, with information about website cookies, external connections and blog comments. It is not a complete audit of every website feature or a notice for external ordering services.
Information you provide
The contact form requires your name, email address, telephone number, subject and message. Please avoid including payment-card details, passwords or sensitive information unnecessary for your enquiry. You can also telephone (226) 647-1177.
The form also uses technical fields for its form and page identifiers, page URL/referrer and spam-prevention timing. These support processing and protecting the form. Technical logs may include connection information; the enquiry fields are not the only data involved in visiting or submitting the form.
How enquiries are handled
Customer contact details and messages are used to answer enquiries and complete related follow-up. Our enquiry-handling procedure requires access to be limited to authorised people involved in handling enquiries.
Our procedure prohibits automatically adding enquiry senders to marketing lists, selling their details, or publishing identifiable customer correspondence in website content or SEO material.
The form sends notifications to designated restaurant inboxes. Your email address is used as the reply address; entering it does not automatically send you a notification copy.
How long information is kept
Allister will review closed routine enquiries monthly and manually delete messages no longer needed for follow-up. The review covers receiving inboxes and restaurant-controlled copies. A monthly review is not a promise to delete every message after one month.
Information needed for unresolved complaints or required records will be kept separately, with a documented reason and review date. Deleting a message from an inbox does not immediately remove every copy. Technical logs and backups have separate retention arrangements; deletion from an inbox does not by itself delete those records.
Service providers
Hostinger hosts the website. The website uses WordPress, WPForms and WP Mail SMTP to process contact enquiries and send notifications through Hostinger's authenticated email service. The sending mailbox is notifications@jkcuisine.ca. Notification addresses and message content pass to Hostinger for delivery.
The designated receiving inboxes use their own email providers, including Gmail. Those providers receive and store notifications, replies and any copies retained in the inboxes. Their role is separate from Hostinger's role in sending website notifications.
Hosting and email-provider records may include routing information, timestamps and error details. We have not verified every provider's storage location or log and backup retention period. Information may be processed outside Canada; Canadian-only storage is not promised.
Protection and technical records
The website email connection authenticates to Hostinger using encrypted SMTP transport with certificate verification enabled. The website stores an encrypted sending-mailbox credential. Our procedure requires protection of that credential and restricted access to enquiries. No system guarantees absolute security.
Extended email debugging is disabled. The website mail plugin's error-event retention is configured for one week; scheduled cleanup and provider records are separate from inbox deletion. Backups may contain website settings and credentials. Changing current settings does not erase historical backup copies. We do not promise that all technical records exclude message content or are deleted at the same time as an enquiry.
Website cookies and external connections
Optional visit analytics, advertising tracking, session recording and form-use analytics are disabled on the launched website. No acceptance of optional tracking is required to view the menu, use directions or send an enquiry. A previous website version used Google Analytics cookies; existing cookies may remain in your browser until they expire or you clear them. Turning off future tracking does not erase information already held by providers.
WordPress may use cookies to check browser support, remember a language selection and maintain administrator sign-in sessions. Security and hosting tools may process IP addresses, browser information and request details to operate and protect the website. Blog comment fields offer a separate choice to save name, email and website details in the browser; leaving it unchecked does not prevent commenting. Your browser controls can also manage cookies.
Some inherited page styles load fonts from Google Fonts, and older blog layouts can load external template images. Retrieving these resources sends connection information, such as IP address and browser headers, to their hosts. This is separate from optional visit analytics. The redesign's food photographs and principal brand fonts are served from this website; it does not remove all inherited font requests.
Directions and ordering buttons are links to external services, rather than an automatically loaded map or embedded ordering form on the redesigned pages. Following them opens Google Maps or the ordering provider, which has its own privacy terms. Ordinary social or review links on older content similarly take you to other providers when selected.
Blog comments
Where comments are offered, WordPress asks for a comment, name and email address, with an optional website address. Submitted comments and the displayed name may be published through the site's comment process; this is separate from private contact enquiries. Website and spam-prevention tools may process technical information to manage comments and prevent abuse. We have not verified a fixed retention period for every comment or technical record. Contact the privacy address above about a comment or associated information.
External services and changes
External ordering services have their own privacy notices. Review them before providing information. This notice and its publication date will be updated when approved changes affect the handling described here. If optional tracking is introduced later, its purposes, providers and choices will be explained before it is enabled.
